Ghanaian comedian OB Amponsah has claimed 1st place at the 2025 Ultimate Comic Challenge held at The Idiot Box Comedy Club in Greensboro, North Carolina. The victory earns him a $2,000 cash prize and a coveted headlining slot at the venue.

The prestigious annual competition, now in its 19th year, featured comedians from across the U.S., culminating in a grand finale on August 9. OB triumphed over five other finalists, impressing judges and audiences alike with his sharp punchlines, international flair, and engaging crowd work.
