Fameye: My Music Is Not Different From Asake’s

In a recent interview with media personality Rev Erskine, Ghanaian musician Fameye voiced his frustration over the treatment he and some of his peers in the music industry have received from Ghanaians.
The “Nothing I Get” hitmaker lamented that much of the criticism directed at him is often unfair and lacking in honesty.
Drawing a comparison between himself and Nigerian artist Asake, Fameye highlighted the disparity in recognition. According to him, despite producing similar music, he does not receive the same level of appreciation from Ghanaians.
“Some of our people are not being truthful. It’s not like I’m complaining, but what I do is no different from what Asake does maybe even more. If you listen to my “Songs of Peter” album, I mixed English and Twi to make it sound good. The beat was incredible. It’s just sad. I’m tough, but sometimes their attitude gets to me,” he shared.
