Ghana’s Afro-dancehall sensation, Stonebwoy, solidified his reign in the music industry by claiming the coveted Artiste of the Year title at the 2024 3Music Awards. His latest achievements extend further, as he also took home the awards for Reggae/Dancehall Act of the Year and Album of the Year for his most recent release.
The glamorous event was held at the Palm Convention Centre inside La Palm Royal Beach Hotel, showcasing Ghana’s finest musical talents. The night was filled with electrifying performances from Nacee, Piesie Esther, Adina, Kweku Smoke, Akwaboah, Mr. Drew, Lyrical Joe, and many others, making it a night of true celebration for Ghanaian music.
Despite tough competition from top acts like Sarkodie, King Promise, Kuami Eugene, and Black Sherif, Stonebwoy’s consistent artistry and chart-topping hits like “Manodzi” secured his spot at the top. The crowd erupted into applause when his name was announced for the Artiste of the Year award.
Though Stonebwoy was unable to attend the ceremony in person, renowned music producer Mix Master Garzy accepted the awards on his behalf. In a surprise announcement that thrilled fans, Garzy revealed that Stonebwoy is gearing up to release a new album soon, adding more excitement to the evening.
