John Dramani Mahama Wins 2024 Presidential Election, Secures Return to Power

John Dramani Mahama, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, has emerged victorious in Ghana’s 2024 presidential election, marking his triumphant return to the presidency after a resounding win over Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
The election outcome was confirmed just 24 hours after polls closed, with Vice President Dr. Bawumia conceding defeat in a public address. In a gracious show of statesmanship, he revealed that he had personally called Mahama to congratulate him on his victory.
“I have spoken to President-elect John Dramani Mahama to congratulate him on his victory. The people of Ghana have spoken, and we must respect their decision,” Dr. Bawumia stated.
He further pledged his unwavering support for Mahama, emphasizing the importance of unity in fostering peace and development for the nation.
