Bagbin Calls for Collaborative Effort in Shaping a Holistic Educational Ecosystem

Alban S. K. Bagbin, Speaker of Parliament, has urged families, educators, and communities to work together in cultivating a holistic educational environment that equips students to navigate the complexities of the modern world.
Speaking at the 25th anniversary celebration of Queen of Peace Senior High School, Bagbin emphasized that education should go beyond academic knowledge, incorporating emotional, physical, social, and spiritual development.
He commended the school for its dedication over the past quarter-century to producing well-rounded individuals who excel both academically and morally. The Speaker highlighted the importance of holistic education, which integrates critical thinking, empathy, creativity, and teamwork to prepare students for leadership roles and problem-solving challenges.
Rt. Hon. Bagbin called on families, educators, and communities to collaborate in building an educational system that nurtures both intellectual and moral growth. He underscored the essential role of parents in shaping their children’s values, praising the school for exemplifying these principles through its cadet displays, poetry recitals, and the achievements of its alumni.
In his message, the Speaker urged teachers to foster nurturing learning environments, students to take responsibility for their education, and communities to actively support initiatives that empower the next generation.
“Holistic education is an ongoing process that requires the involvement of all stakeholders,” Bagbin concluded.
The event celebrated Queen of Peace Senior High School’s 25-year journey as a model of educational excellence, with a focus on character development, leadership, and innovation.
