Wizkid Fills Up Paris Nightclub for Release Party of Upcoming Single

Nigerian megastar Wizkid is gearing up for his first release of 2024 in grand style.
On Sunday, September 29, 2024, the Grammy-winning artist hosted an electrifying release party at a packed nightclub in Paris, celebrating his forthcoming single “Piece of My Heart,” a collaboration with American singer Brent Faiyaz.
The event drew fans and industry insiders alike, who gathered to toast Wizkid’s new project and enjoy an unforgettable night of music. The highly anticipated single, set to drop in October, will be the first release from Wizkid’s upcoming sixth studio album, Morayo.
The release party also coincided with the 10th anniversary of Wizkid’s iconic sophomore album Ayo, which featured the global hit “Ojuelegba.” Fans marked the occasion with tributes, celebrating both the album and the song that played a pivotal role in the global rise of Nigerian music.
Morayo, named in honor of Wizkid’s late mother who passed in 2023, is expected to be his most personal and introspective work to date. The collaboration with Brent Faiyaz is seen as a teaser of the sonic direction fans can expect from the album, which Wizkid has called his best work yet.
For Brent Faiyaz, this marks his second collaboration with a Nigerian artist, following his feature on Tems’ hit song “Found” from her EP If Orange Was A Place. Fans are eager to hear how his soulful sound blends with Wizkid’s Afrobeat magic in what promises to be one of the standout tracks of the year.
