The organizers of the 2025 Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) have officially announced the nominees for the 26th edition of the prestigious awards. The list was revealed on Saturday, March 15, 2025, following the completion of the nomination process.
The highly anticipated main event is scheduled to take place on May 3, 2025, at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC). Ahead of the awards night, a pre-party is set for May 2, bringing together nominees, industry stakeholders, and music enthusiasts for networking, discussions, and celebrations.
As expected, some of Ghana’s biggest names in music have secured nominations. Stonebwoy, King Promise, and Black Sherif have once again been shortlisted for the Artiste of the Year category. They will compete alongside Kweku Smoke, King Paluta, Team Eternity, and Joe Mettle for the top honor.
The Best Rap Performance category will see a fierce contest between Okyeame Kwame, Sarkodie, Flowking Stone, Eno Barony, Kweku Smoke, and Lyrical Joe.
In the Best Gospel Artiste of the Year category, nominees include Joe Mettle, Piesie Esther, Diana Hamilton, Empress Gifty, Team Eternity Ghana, and MOG Music.
The Telecel Most Popular Song of the Year category is also highly competitive, featuring hits such as:
