Hammer Splits ‘Upper Echelons’ Album Into Two Releases to Uphold Creative Principles

Renowned multiple award-winning Ghanaian celebrated producer, Hammer of The Last Two has revealed that his unwavering commitment to authentic collaboration has caused delays in the completion of his highly anticipated Upper Echelons album. Known for his dedication to preserving the essence of music-making, Hammer refuses to compromise, even as the industry increasingly leans toward digital convenience.

“Call me old school, but I’m not doing this ‘email me the beat’ thing,” he explained. “It diminishes our creative chemistry and undermines the essence of collaboration.”

Hammer acknowledged the challenges his approach poses, particularly during the festive season when artists’ schedules are tight. However, he remains firm in his belief that music should be created in shared spaces to foster genuine synergy, rather than relying on fragmented, remote contributions.

To address the delays, Hammer has decided to release six completed tracks from the Upper Echelons project as an EP before the year ends. The remaining seven tracks will follow three months later as a separate project titled Roadmen.

“I’m confident these six tracks will suffice in meeting the heightened level of anticipation surrounding my return to music,” he assured his fans.

As the Upper Echelons EP approaches, Hammer is set to make a powerful comeback, demonstrating that artistry rooted in patience and integrity remains timeless.
