Joe Mettle Calls Out Airlines Over Poor Aircraft Quality for Ghana

Renowned Ghanaian gospel artist Joe Mettle has criticized airlines for assigning substandard airplanes to Ghana-bound routes. In a thought-provoking post on X (formerly Twitter) on December 1, 2024, the celebrated musician questioned why Ghana often receives inferior planes compared to other African countries, even though ticket prices remain steep.
“Hi family. There’s something that’s been bothering me, and I need your thoughts. I’ve traveled a bit and noticed that many planes coming to Ghana are far from the best compared to those flying to other African countries. Why is that?” Mettle wrote.
He also emphasized the irony of the situation, noting that some destinations with much shorter flight times are served with far better planes.
“And many times, the flight distance is even way shorter, and they still get better planes. Is it because we accept whatever is offered and don’t demand better? And oh boy, these tickets are not cheap,” he added.
Mettle’s comments have ignited discussions among travelers, with many calling for airlines to improve the quality of their services on Ghana-bound flights.
