Mr Eazi and Mugeez Unveil ‘For My Head’ with DJay, Hint at Joint Album

Afrobeats giants Mr Eazi and Mugeez have teamed up once again, releasing a vibrant new single titled “For My Head.” The track, which also features Ghana’s fast-rising star DJay, showcases the diverse talents of the trio and hints at a potential full-length collaboration in the near future.
Produced by renowned hitmaker Killertunes, “For My Head” is a nod to Ghana’s explosive 2010s music scene—a period defined by the infectious Azonto movement. The single brings together the nostalgic dance rhythms of that era with a fresh, modern twist, blending Mr Eazi and Mugeez’s innovative Afrobeats sound to create a lively track destined for the dancefloor.
Mr Eazi and Mugeez have a proven synergy, having collaborated on fan-favorite tracks like “Business.” Their partnership continues to bridge cultural and musical borders, capturing audiences worldwide with their distinct styles and seamless fusion of Afrobeats elements.
Both artists are celebrated as icons of African music: Mr Eazi, known for his signature banku sound, has played a key role in pushing African music onto the global stage, while Mugeez, one half of the legendary duo R2Bees, is revered for blending traditional and contemporary Ghanaian sounds.
Adding a fresh dimension to “For My Head” is DJay, a standout talent among Ghana’s new generation of artists. Known for his energetic presence and a growing catalog of hits, DJay injects a youthful vibrancy into the collaboration, making this single a promising taste of what might come if Mr Eazi and Mugeez do release a joint album.
