Masicka Teases New Album Release for December 4

Jamaican dancehall icon Masicka is set to thrill fans once again, confirming that his latest album will drop on December 4. On October 31, the “Reverse Time” hitmaker took to X (formerly Twitter) to make the announcement, promising his “best work yet.” While he hasn’t revealed the album title or potential features, his recent single with Teejay, “Never Complain,” has already stirred excitement.
This new album follows his 2023 project, Generation of Kings, and keeps with Masicka’s tradition of releasing albums during the December holiday season. His debut album, 438, launched on December 3, 2021, debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard Reggae Album Chart, and has since sold over 50,000 album equivalent units. Generation of Kings also performed well, peaking at No. 14 on Billboard’s Heatseekers Albums chart and featuring collaborations with Popcaan, Chronic Law, Lila Ike, Dexta Daps, Spice, and Fridayy.
Alongside his album announcement, Masicka dropped the gritty track “Whites” on the Rooster Riddim. Produced by Attomatic Records, Dan Sky Records, and 1 Syde Records, the song’s music video, directed by Now Or Never, has quickly gained traction.
Fans are eagerly anticipating this December release, with many taking to social media to share their hopes. “This album deserves Grammy recognition,” one fan wrote, while another added, “Masicka never disappoints; best artist right now.”
