Nomzamo Mbatha to Host Prince William’s Earthshot Event: “Deeply Honored and So Excited”
Nomzamo Mbatha, one of South Africa’s most esteemed international icons, has once again been chosen for a prominent global role. Known for her work as an actress, media personality, and Goodwill ambassador, Mbatha is often the go-to name for international events and brand representation.
Recently appointed as an Earthshot Prize ambassador, Mbatha is thrilled to take on her newest role as host for the upcoming Earthshot Week, a gathering of global environmental leaders and innovators, scheduled for the coming days in Cape Town. She will co-host the event with Australian conservationist and wildlife photographer Robert Irwin.

The Earthshot Prize, founded by Prince William and The Royal Foundation in October 2020, is considered one of the world’s most prestigious environmental awards, aiming to highlight and expand impactful solutions to critical environmental issues.
South African media star Bonang Matheba will host the Earthshot Prize Awards ceremony alongside American actor and singer Billy Porter. The fourth annual event, to be held in Cape Town on November 6, promises an impressive line-up of stars. Rapper and media personality Nomuzi Mabena will co-host a special green carpet pre-show with Nigerian TV personality Ebuka Obi-Uchendu.
Attendees will include supermodels Heidi Klum and Winnie Harlow, “The Vampire Diaries” actress Nina Dobrev, and actor-musician Tobe Nwigwe. The musical line-up features stars like Davido, Diamond Platnumz, Lebo M, the Ndlovu Youth Choir, and DJ Uncle Waffles.
The Earthshot Prize Awards will be broadcast on 50 platforms across Africa, ensuring extensive reach and engagement with audiences around the continent.
