Benedicta Gafah: Zylofon’s Closure Didn’t Stall My Acting Career

Ghanaian actress Benedicta Gafah has revealed that the shutdown of Zylofon Media had no negative impact on her acting career.

Speaking with Andy Dosty on Hitz FM, Benedicta, who was previously signed under Zylofon Media’s movie division, expressed that her career remains strong despite the media company’s closure.

“The end of Zylofon Media didn’t affect me at all,” she shared. “Talent and skill speak for themselves. You are a brand before anyone signs you, so it’s up to you to maintain that. Just look at Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale – they’re still thriving.”

Benedicta was part of the Zylofon Media movie roster, which included actors like Bibi Bright, James Gardiner, Toosweet Annan, and Zynnell Zuh, under the leadership of Eddie Nartey. Zylofon Media’s music division also featured top artists, including Kumi Guitar, Becca, Stonebwoy, Joyce Blessing, Shatta Wale, and Obibini.

Over her career, Benedicta has starred in numerous films, such as Mirror Girl, Odo Asa, April Fool, Devil’s Voice, Azonto Ghost, Kweku Saman, Adoma, Agyanka Ba, Ewiase Ahenie, I Know My Right, Agya Koo Azonto, Afia Yakubu, Happily Never After, Selfie, The New Adabraka, The 2 Pilots, and Obsession.

Despite industry challenges, Benedicta remains dedicated to her craft and is determined to continue building her legacy in Ghana’s film scene.
