Ghana: How to Verify Your Voter Registration Details Online Before the October 19 Deadline

The Electoral Commission (EC) of Ghana has initiated an online re-exhibition of the Provisional Voters Register (PVR) in preparation for the upcoming general election.

In a press release issued today, the EC encouraged registered voters to verify their details online from Tuesday, October 15, to Saturday, October 19, 2024. This initiative aims to allow voters to confirm the accuracy of their information and report any discrepancies before the deadline.

Voters can check their registration details through two convenient methods:

1. Via Short Code:

Dial 71151# on your mobile phone at no cost to access your voter details.

2. Via the EC Website:

Visit https://ec.gov.gh and click the pop-up link located at the bottom-right corner of the screen. Enter your 10-digit Voter ID number to view your registration information.

If any inaccuracies are found, voters must report them to their local District Electoral Commission Office for correction before the October 19 deadline. After this date, while voters will still be able to view their details online, no corrections can be made.

Political parties have also been given a template to report any discrepancies identified during the re-exhibition period.

This exercise is essential for ensuring the accuracy of voter information ahead of the 2024 elections.
