Arnold Asamoah-Baidoo Calls for Accountability Among Pastors for False Prophecies

Entertainment pundit, Arnold Asamoah-Baidoo has emphasized the need for pastors to be held accountable for unfulfilled prophecies.
Speaking on UTV’s United Showbiz on Saturday, October 12, 2024, he highlighted how contradictory prophecies undermine trust and credibility within Christianity.
Arnold argued that publicly addressing prophets whose predictions do not come to pass could help curb misleading revelations that may incite unrest in Ghana. He believes that implementing such accountability measures would foster authenticity and protect the integrity of the Christian faith.
“It’s time to call out prophets whose declarations fail to manifest. Remember when the Ghana Police Service instructed pastors not to make any declarations on December 31? If the police can take action in this regard, I believe a similar approach toward these pastors would help reduce contradictory prophecies,” he stated.
He also expressed support for Apostle Opoku Onyinah’s call for pastors to avoid making public predictions about election outcomes. According to Apostle Onyinah, such prophecies can stir unrest and confusion among the public, particularly when they conflict with one another—an issue that is particularly relevant given the approaching elections in Ghana.
Apostle Onyinah, the former Chairman of the Church of Pentecost, has been a strong advocate for pastors and prophets to exercise responsibility in their prophetic messages. He pointed out that when politicians receive favorable prophecies, they may align themselves with the prophets, which can result in division and instability.
“I completely agree with Apostle Opoku Onyinah’s assertions; everything he stated in his article is true. We have seen these prophecies, especially during election seasons, and it is simply not right,” Arnold added.
