Wutah Kobby Begins New Era with “Dollar Dollar”

Hiplife artist Wutah Kobby, formerly of the iconic duo Wutah, has officially released “Dollar Dollar,” the lead single and title track of his upcoming EP, set to drop later this year.

This release marks Kobby’s return to the music scene after a five-year hiatus. With “Dollar Dollar,” the talented musician aims to reintroduce himself to the industry, blending traditional Ghanaian rhythms with contemporary Afrobeat sounds, a signature style that has defined his career and one he hopes will captivate younger audiences.

Wutah Kobby initially rose to fame as part of Wutah, the dynamic duo known for hits like “Kotosa” and “Big Dreams.” Since going solo, he has continued to make his mark with albums such as Selfless Bliss and Abokobi.

In an interview with Graphic Showbiz, Kobby described his return as the start of a new journey. “Dollar Dollar reflects where I am musically right now. I’m blending the influences I’ve absorbed over the years and pushing my creativity to new heights. Fans can expect a mix of love songs, social commentary, and relatable themes that speak to everyday life, all wrapped in my signature style,” he said.

Although Wutah briefly reunited in 2017, delivering hits like “Bronya” and “AK 47” and even winning Best Group at the 2018 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA), the reunion was short-lived. By 2019, the duo had parted ways again, raising questions about their future as solo artists.

However, Wutah Kobby, born Daniel Nyarko Morris, is optimistic about his future. He’s ready to leave the past behind and focus on the new chapter of his career, confident that brighter days are ahead. “This is a new beginning,” he affirmed.
