Ghana Water Improves Cape Coast and Elmina Water Supply, Assures Residents of Enhanced Quality

Ghana Water Limited (Central Region) has announced significant progress in addressing water quality and supply concerns in Cape Coast, Elmina, and surrounding communities.

Previous issues with high turbidity levels at the Sekyere Hemang Water Treatment Plant have been mitigated, thanks to the Central Regional Security Council’s interventions, led by Hon. Minister Mrs. Justina Marigold Assan.

Turbidity levels have decreased from 14,000 NTU to 9,000 NTU, resulting in a significant increase in water production from 1.98 million gallons per day to over 2.77 million gallons per day.

Ghana Water Limited reassures residents that efforts are ongoing to meet their water needs and ensure consistent improvement in raw water quality.

The company acknowledges the Central Regional Security Council’s valuable support and urges customers to remain patient as work continues.

Residents can expect enhanced water quality and increased water supply as Ghana Water Limited works diligently to address the community’s needs.
