With the Rocking the Daisies 2024 festival fast approaching from October 3 to 6, anticipation is at an all-time high. This year’s enchanting theme, “In the Stars,” promises festival-goers a magical experience at the scenic Cloof Wine Estate, complete with a stellar mix of musical performances and immersive activities.
Festival organizer Alex De Villiers emphasized the lineup’s diversity, stating, “Every performance will be a cosmic experience.” Headlining the event is Snoh Aalegra, known for her soulful sound, alongside other international talents like rapper Mick Jenkins and Nigerian Afropop star Ayra Starr. The local scene shines too, featuring icons such as Nasty C, Shekhinah, and Sun El Musician.
Beyond music, the new Flying Fish Beach Club will offer a vibrant space for relaxation and dancing. De Villiers highlighted the festival’s kickoff to summer as a great way to enjoy time with friends. Additionally, a first-ever outdoor sunset fashion showcase, in partnership with Galxboy, will present designs from the top five talents of the 2024 Festival Fashion Talent Search.
For those seeking a bit of competition, the SuperSportBet Sports Centre will host various games with exciting prizes for winners. New this year, Daisy Town will feature art installations, shopping stalls, and a creative atmosphere, according to art curator Jessie Mthembu. As night falls, the Maybelline Station promises an electrifying late-night party, inviting attendees to fully immerse themselves in the festival experience.
