Stonebwoy Applauds King Promise for Winning 2025 TGMA Artiste of the Year

Ghanaian music star Stonebwoy has congratulated King Promise on being crowned Artiste of the Year at the 2025 Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA).

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Stonebwoy shared his support, writing:

“Congratulations @IamKingPromise on your win and on your debut entry into the league of AOTY winners. You’re welcome.”

Last year, both artistes were in direct contention for the coveted title, with Stonebwoy taking the crown in 2024. The 2025 edition saw even stiffer competition, with strong contenders like King Paluta entering the fray.

King Promise rose to the top this year, beating out Stonebwoy, Joe Mettle, Black Sherif, King Paluta, Team Eternity, and Kwaku Smoke to clinch the top honour.

In addition to Artiste of the Year, King Promise also walked away with several other major awards:

Afropop Song of the Year for ‘Paris’

Best Afrobeats/Afropop Artiste of the Year

Album of the Year for ‘True to Self’

Stonebwoy didn’t leave empty-handed either, securing:

Best Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year

Reggae/Dancehall Song of the Year with ‘Psalm 23’

Best Music Video of the Year

Other notable winners on the night included Ayisi, Empress Gifty, Kofi Kinaata, Esther Godwyll, Kweku Smoke, KiDi, Team Eternity Ghana, and Tulenkey.

The 26th TGMA was a night to remember, blending glamour, spectacular performances, and a celebration of the best in Ghanaian music, fashion, and entertainment.
