Beyoncé’s pride and emotion were on full display as she talked about her daughter Blue Ivy’s role in Disney’s Mufasa: The Lion King. Blue Ivy voices Kiara, Simba and Nala’s daughter, in the upcoming prequel, set to hit theaters on December 20th.

In a touching behind-the-scenes clip shared with Good Morning America, Beyoncé became emotional as she discussed her daughter’s involvement in the film. Watching Blue Ivy’s performance was a moment of overwhelming pride for the singer.

Blue Ivy reflected on her experience, calling it a dream come true. “If I told my younger self that I was in a movie, I’d never believe it. It’s been an amazing experience, and everyone here is so supportive,” she said.

Beyoncé also returns to voice Nala, having previously portrayed the character in The Lion King. Donald Glover joins her once again as Simba, continuing their roles in the prequel.

In celebration of the film, Disney is collaborating with the Wildlife Conservation Network’s Lion Recovery Fund to help protect lions and their habitats, raising awareness about conservation efforts.
