Nigerian hitmakers Ruger and Tiwa Savage have joined forces for the infectious new single, Toma Toma, which dropped on Friday, November 15, 2024. The track brings together Ruger’s signature vocal melodies with a pulsating, percussion-driven Ballie Funk-inspired Afrobeats beat, expertly crafted by Kukbeatz. Tiwa Savage’s captivating vocals elevate the song, as the two Nigerian superstars deliver a seamless collaboration.
2024 has been a standout year for Ruger, whose EP POE with BNXN has made waves. The project’s lead single has amassed 27 million streams and topped the charts on Spotify and Apple Music in Nigeria.
Ruger’s summer saw the release of a double A-side single, Luv Again / Make Way, alongside a remix of Clean Bandit, Anne-Marie, and David Guetta’s Cry Baby. He has also been touring extensively, performing across Europe at major festivals like DLT Malta Festival and Wireless Festival in London.
