Ogbanje Are Spiritually Gifted – Nollywood Actor Yul Edochie

Nollywood actor Yul Edochie, who recently launched an online ministry, has sparked conversations among his followers with his latest post on the topic of “Ogbanje.”

On October 16, 2024, Edochie took to Instagram to share his thoughts, expressing that many individuals referred to as “Ogbanje” are actually spiritually gifted but have lost their way. He emphasized the importance of embracing their spiritual gifts instead of being influenced by ignorance, fear, or societal pressures.

“Many people we call ‘Ogbanje’ are spiritually gifted. The purpose of these gifts is to help humanity. However, due to ignorance, religion, and the fear of judgment, they often run away from their true selves, which leads to complications in their lives. If you dig deep, find your true self, and embrace it, you’ll discover the purpose of your existence and live a fulfilled life,” Edochie wrote.

His post left many of his fans and followers perplexed, with some questioning how his views aligned with his recent gospel ministry. Several followers took to the comment section to express their confusion.

“Pastor, what really happened? Did you lose your Bible?” one user asked, while another commented, “What about the Salvation Ministry?”

Some users even took a more humorous approach, with one remarking, “Another profession loading,” while another added, “Living with an Ogbanje doesn’t mean you should preach it to us. Yul, rest.”

In January 2024, Edochie surprised his fans by launching the True Salvation Ministry, an online platform for spreading his gospel message. He announced the ministry through an Instagram flier, inviting followers to join him on his spiritual journey.

His latest post, however, has ignited debates about the intersection of spirituality and religion within his new found ministry.
