Translating to “God of Power” from Igbo, a Nigerian language widely spoken in Ghana, the song features a mid-tempo Highlife style and was produced by Jewel Nartey, renowned for his ability to create crisp and impactful soundscapes.
Explaining the song’s inspiration, Minister Ike shared with GhanaWeekend, “I want to tell those who have given up in life that we serve a God of power. He has all the power to transform every situation.”
The music video, filmed in Canada, adds to the song’s allure, showcasing Minister Ike jet-setting in a private plane and flaunting his stylish, luxurious lifestyle. This visually captivating video amplifies the song’s message and reinforces Minister Ike’s reputation as one of the most influential gospel artists on the international stage.
Minister Ike first gained fame with his 2015 hit “Onyme Gya,” the title track of his second album, which earned him over 15 international awards.
