Three-time Grammy-nominated Ghanaian international Afro-Roots and Reggae legend, Rocky Dawuni, has shared profound insights on the nature of music, revealing its hidden powers and influences.
In an exclusive interview with Zeal Nana Kweku Bliss on Class FM’s *Class Xtra Show*, the “In Ghana” hitmaker explained music’s deep spiritual connection, shedding light on its biblical significance. Dawuni referenced the figure of Lucifer, described in the Bible as one of God’s most powerful musicians, to illustrate the dual nature of music. He explained that music is backed by powerful forces, which can represent either light or darkness.
“Music is power and represents both light and darkness. As a musician, you must first know the power behind music, understand it, and make your stand clear whether you are representing light or darkness. Then, make that become an instrument of righteousness to bring happiness and empower your people. For me, I choose the light over darkness,” Rocky stated passionately.
Dawuni is currently on a media tour to promote his brand-new song, “Rise,” which continues to inspire and uplift audiences globally.
