Sonnie Badu Prophesies: “President Mahama Is Destined to Be a Pastor”

US-based Ghanaian gospel musician and founder of Rockhill Church, Sonnie Badu, has made a striking prediction about former President John Dramani Mahama, declaring that he is destined to embrace the calling of a pastor.

Sharing his prophecy on Facebook, Sonnie Badu stated that Mahama has completed his political “comeback mission” and is now poised to begin a significant spiritual journey.

“Now that His Excellency has fulfilled the comeback mission, there is one more hurdle to overcome; call it a prophecy. His Excellency will soon be ordained as a pastor. He might become the first pastor to serve as a president. Congratulations in advance,” Badu wrote.

This statement has sparked discussions about Mahama’s potential transition from politics to ministry, a path rarely associated with former heads of state.

A Historic Comeback

John Dramani Mahama was officially sworn in as Ghana’s president at a grand ceremony held at the Black Star Square in Accra on Tuesday, January 7. The event, attended by thousands of Ghanaians, dignitaries, and global leaders, marked a key milestone in the country’s democratic history.

Mahama’s inauguration signified a remarkable political resurgence. After serving as president from 2012 to 2017, he lost two consecutive elections in 2016 and 2020. His return to power continues Ghana’s democratic tradition of alternating leadership between the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP), with no party winning more than two consecutive terms since the adoption of multi-party democracy in 1992.

As Ghanaians celebrate this political milestone, Sonnie Badu’s prophecy adds a spiritual dimension to Mahama’s legacy, hinting at an extraordinary new chapter in his journey.
