Veteran actor Van Vicker has joyfully marked his 21st wedding anniversary with a touching message on social media. On October 16, 2024, Vicker took to Instagram to reflect on the journey of marriage, celebrating his long-lasting union with his wife, Adjoa.
In his post, the actor shared a recent photo of the couple and expressed his gratitude for reaching this significant milestone. He offered a candid insight into the realities of marriage, comparing it to “a bed of thorny roses” with both beautiful and challenging moments.
“Today marks 21 years of marriage. I am thankful to God,” he wrote. “Marriage is like a bed of thorny roses. It brings incredibly lovely moments but also really trying times.”
Vicker emphasized the importance of perseverance and commitment in making a marriage last, highlighting three key factors: will, compatibility, and maintaining love.
“In every situation, ‘the will’ is essential. Choosing the ‘right’ person is crucial (truly knowing them), staying ‘in love’ is paramount (it’s not just about loving your spouse), and ultimately, having the desire to remain married (as long as there’s no abuse). The combination of these three can help you overcome the thorns,” he continued.
