Wendy Shay Delivers Electrifying Performances at Debut One Night Stand Concert
Ghanaian songstress Wendy Shay set the stage alight with her much-anticipated show, One Night Stand with Wendy Shay, held on December 30, 2024, at SoHo.
The event featured a mesmerizing two-hour live performance by Wendy Shay and her band, treating fans to an unforgettable evening. She performed a wide array of her chart-topping hits, including Emergency, Survivor, Odo, Heaven, Murder, One Man, Astalavista, Uber Driver, Bedroom Commando, Stevie Wonder, Masakra, Special Love, Vivian, and many others.
Adding to the night’s excitement, Wendy Shay was joined by several of her industry colleagues who delivered outstanding performances. Mr. Drew, Sista Afia, Olivetheboy, Sefa, and Safo Newman thrilled the audience with captivating acts, while emerging talents Veola and Ivestunner showcased their promising artistry, offering a glimpse into the future of Ghanaian music.
The concert drew notable personalities, including Alan Kyerematen, the flagbearer of the Movement for Change, and members of his party. Media personalities and industry professionals also turned out in support of the celebrated musician.
One of the evening’s standout moments was when a devoted fan, Kobby Shay, joined Wendy Shay on stage for a duet of her hit track Special Love. His spirited performance, inspired by the VGMA’s 2024 New Artist of the Year, King Paluta, left the crowd in awe.
Following the concert, Wendy Shay took to social media to express her gratitude and excitement. “Performing live for two hours to my fans was one of the best moments of my career,” she wrote.
She also revealed plans to make One Night Stand with Wendy Shay an annual tradition, distinct from her other flagship event, the Shay Concert. Fans can expect even more thrilling performances and surprises in future editions.
